Taytayan Pinoy Restaurant

Are you craving for pinoy foods but too lazy to cook? Taytayan Pinoy Restaurant is the best solution to satisfy your cravings.

Taytayan Pinoy Restaurant is located at Pilipog, Cordova, Cebu. It is a family style restaurant and served the best pinoy foods.

The best time to go here is at night, friday and saturday because they have a live band playing while you are eating. You will be amazed by their unique interior design, it is very pinoy like. While we are eating here, the crews are very friendly and accommodating. They will recommend what is their best seller and etc.

The prices of the food and drinks are right for your budget. I reccommend to order their chopseuy  tinolang isda, sisig, and lechon kawali partnered with four seasons.

The location of this place is along the highway and very accessible. They also have Wi-Fi connection. What amaze me about the restaurant is their comfort room. It is very unique but unfortunately, i didn't get a chance to take a picture of it since there is a person waiting for his turn.

MY RATING IS 8/10

Come and visit this place!

Gatubod Spring Resort

As the temperature becomes hotter nowadays, this means that summer is approaching. And to ease the summer heat, most of us are now planning for a beach getaway. Others want for a pool party or even both. There are several resorts now in Cebu and most of those are beach resorts.

If you want to experience something different, there are mountain resorts too that you can choose and one of those is Gatubod Spring Resort. Gatubod Spring Resort is located in Basak, Compostela Cebu.

A 15-minute ride from the National Highway.

This is a small water park with two main pools with a depth up to 7ft. They also have a Kiddie pool. A long waterslide from the second pool situated at the top of the hill.

Cottages are at a reasonable price ranging from php250 to php500. Entrance fee is Php60 and Php30 for adults and kids respectively. You can bring all foods/drinks you want as since there are no corkage fees.

With my high school friendsand relatives  we tried Gatubod Resort. It is a bumpy ride experience from the main highway to resort but one of the most exciting trip ever. When you pass by in the road you can see a beautiful scenery of mountains

The IRISH Café and Bar is a newly opened  store located at Ayala Access Road , Gorordo Ave , Cebu City besides the JCA pizza ,replacing the Chozzo takeout restaurant.

Offers an affordable coffee and a good tasting food , which is the best seller is the Singaporean Laksa. Here are various theories about the origins of Laksa. In Indonesia, the dish is believed to have been born from the Chinese coastal settlements and the mixing of cultures between Chinese sailors and the local cooking practices. In Malaysia, the dish is believed to have been introduced by Chinese immigrants in Malacca. In Singapore, the dish (or its local "Katong" version) is believed to have created after interaction between the Peranakans with the local Singaporeans.Various recipes of laksas have gained popularity in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia; and subsequently international recognition. Initially in July 2011, CNN Travel ranked Penang AsamLaksa 7th out of the 50 most delicious foods in the world. Its rank however, fall to number 26th after CNN held an online poll by 35,000 people, published in September 2011. Singaporean Curry Laksa on the other hand ranked in number 44th.

Lantaw Floating Native Restaurant

On our 2nd night in Cebu, we decided to eat dinner at Lantaw Floating Native Restaurant. We just read somewhere to try this restaurant and so we did! It's a few minutes drive from Imperial Palace. We asked the help of the front desk from Imperial to reserve a seat for us. However, the phone of Lantaw is very busy. Thus, we went early as we heard that it gets full towards dinner time. We also want to be there before sunset.

Taxi cost us around Php 140.00. We did not ask the cab to wait for us because the driver's rate is Php 300.00 per hour. We ordered inihaw na tuna panga, pork sisig, baked scallops, lumpiang shanghai, and gatang seafood (i forgot the name), rice, and pitcher of cordova drink. All these cost us a little over Php 1,000.00 :) I higly reccommend the gatang seafood because it is very tasty and it is served on a buco shell. the cordova drink is also good.... same with the other orders. We would have stayed longer but we are not sure how to get back to the hotel so we decided not to stay too late. from the restaurant, we walked a few meters to get a padjak (a bike w/ a side car). We were charged Php 60.00 per padjak and can only accommodate 2 passengers. we were brought to the main road and got a cab from there. However, I suggest that you just wait for cab from the restaurant. We noticed that most customers go there by cab. You just have to wait a little to get one.
